ABOUT

Hello. Hi! Kia Ora.

Welcome to my space in the blogosphere, coming at you from the place I’m proud to call home, the very beautiful Land of the Long White Cloud, Aotearoa, New Zealand.

I am Abbie.

I’m a mama, wife, sister, daughter and blessed child of the Almighty Lord. I dream big and think hard. I’m always honest and here to be real.

This is not a mum blog, a craft blog, a fitness blog, a food blog, nor a photography blog.

This is a blog about life. My life.

I come to put it all out there … because I love to write and because I can.

Married to my very own tall, dark and handsome, between us we have four kids.  We are a blended family of faith, who makes a point of playing together. We also have two teenagers from overseas living with us. Life is crazy, it has its moments both good and bad, and we love taking it all on together.

I love: Jesus, family, friends, music, words, optimism and hope, books, nature, organisation, giving gifts, handbags and boots, road trips, and beaches. And blogging!

I don’t love: lateness, inconsiderate drivers, negativity, rudeness and bad manners, loneliness, fibromyalgia and insomnia.

If you’re still reading (thanks!) and want to learn more, head over the Best Babble page which is where I tag posts which are closest to my heart for various reasons…

I love to read other blogs and to interact with other writers – so please do feel free to comment or drop me an email: abbiesbabble AT gmail DOT com – head to my contact page, or to the bottom of this page, for my social media links.

    1. Thanks for dropping in Maddi. I totally started this blog to find my voice – internally and externally. It’s a great journey so far and the world of blog is such a supportive place (I had no idea what to expect). I’m about to head over to your space…

  6. My feeling exactly – “In the madness of life as a mama and being a hard-core introvert, I do need something for me. Something to think about, create and control (yes I did say that!) … that I can crawl into alone and really call my own. And I love it.” Something that’s mine, for me to do with as I please. Love your new about page.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I’m learning to embrace the fact that I am an introvert. I’ve been covering it up for years in a fast-paced, high stress professional environment. I’m so much happier being me!

  10. Hey Abbie,
I’m glad of the connection through Austin’s Blog Pitch Part. I enjoy your about me page. I can definitely relate that my blog is not geared to a specific audience also. I want anyone to be able to get something from it. I am looking forward to your upcoming thoughts on life 🙂

  11. I saw your comment in A Momma’s View and stopped over to meet you Abbie. This is a great About page. Loved reading about your faith in Jesus, hearing about New Zealand (where my wife is from), and learning your blog is about LIFE, which is very cool.
    Blessings,

    1. Thanks for dropping by and commenting Carl … or was that running by? 😉 And thank you for the positive feedback on my page. It’s so easy to write when I’m just being me and writing what’s close to my heart.
