Something different for Thankful Thursday this week.
I came across these gorgeous words which really resonated with me.
Gratitude CAN turn things that seem hard/bad/wrong/challenging, into positives. I call them lessons. To be fair, sometimes it takes a bit of hindsight to see them (learn the lessons), but as long as we get there in the end…
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something,
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
Because it will build your strength and character.Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
Because it means you’ve made a difference. It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfilment comes to those who are also thankful for the
setbacks.Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.– Author Unknown

You’re right, sometimes it can be hindsight that helps us to see that something we went through wasn’t so bad after all… we become stronger too. We are chosen to go through those knocks in life to become better people I guess and gratitude is a a key way in becoming happier overall. Thank you so much for the mention Abbie and for getting me reflecting on this piece from a different angle 🙂

You are more than welcome, it was too good not to share. I think hindsight can be both a blessing and a curse (doesn’t it sometimes make you want to kick yourself?!). But yes also helps us see those lessons more clearly sometimes 🙂

Yes it can definitely be a curse… i’ve kicked myself many a time! Hope you’re well. I’ve just logged on after two weeks, so a lot to catch up on!
